Strategic foresight · food systems · institution building

Long-range thinking for decisions that cannot wait.

I work with governments, development finance institutions and boards on food systems, climate adaptation and strategic foresight. Nearly two decades of it, mostly in the places where the risk actually lands.

About

Seeing what is changing before it becomes obvious.

Bunmi Ajilore is a strategic foresight and food systems practitioner based in Ibadan, Nigeria, and visiting faculty at Lagos Business School. He works where long-range thinking meets the decisions institutions have to make this quarter.

Over nearly two decades his work has run through international development, agricultural research, climate adaptation and public institutions, including the Global Center on Adaptation, CGIAR/CIAT, GFAR and FAO in Rome, UNDP, the Commonwealth Secretariat and CTA ACP-EU. The field work spans Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Pacific.

He now operates independently as a founder and institution builder, advising leaders who need clearer choices under uncertainty.

MSc Environmental Biology, Agricultural Toxicology, University of Ibadan. B.Agric Soil Science, Olabisi Onabanjo University. SOIF Next Generation Foresight Practitioner, Global Runner-Up and Africa Prize Winner, 2018. CSIS AILA International Fellow, 2018.
